I couldn’t have been any happier and more satisfied with Alex and his body shop team at European Automotive. They take care of everything from A to Z, including all the insurance paperwork, towing and even delivery. This is like 10 star service in a time when no one gives service anymore.”

There are so many body shops opening up at every corner of Riverside it seems, but what does it take to really become a staple of the community? How does a body shop become so well-known and trusted by customers that they are willing to drive all the way from Orange County or Los Angeles just to receive service? The answer is simple: great customer service and first class expertise in the field of auto body repair.

While most auto body shops in Riverside are pinching every penny and up-charging their clients for every service they provide, we take a different approach. We are not into up-selling or making money off of our struggling clients, especially when they’ve been in a wreck and looking to bring some normalcy back into their lives. That’s why as part of our service, we offer free towing service to and from our body shop, making sure our customers don’t have to worry about the additional hassle and expense of towing their car or truck.

The battery is such an integral part of your engine, basically being the life force of your vehicle. It may be a tiny piece, but without it, your entire automobile couldn’t even begin to start. There is nothing like getting ready to go out before that heart-stopping moment in which you enter your key into the ignition, only to have a car that won’t turn on at all. It is not only an inconvenient event, but also an incident in which daily plans are easily thwarted.

The good news is that battery replacement isn’t a frequent occurrence- on average, your battery should be replaced about every 3 years. The process of getting a new battery in itself is not even lengthy, and before you know it, your vehicle would be running as good as new.
There may be days in which your car needs to be “jumped” by having your battery briefly recharged through the cables of another vehicle. Leaving your headlights on overnight while your car is parked will drain the battery. Having your automobile stored inside a garage or on a driveway for a very long period of time without being driven would cause it to need a jump when being used again. On a first-hand experience, leaving your car idling while using a plugged-in smartphone for over an hour or two is not a good idea either, not just in terms of safety but also for your battery.

Weather is a factor in battery death- in fact, heat is often to blame. According to the Car Care Council, “Heat causes battery fluid to evaporate, this damaging the internal structure of the battery” and is seen as more of a problem than cold weather. Having your battery checked, especially in summery weather, is the best way to insure more smooth driving and planning. If your car keeps needing jumps, it is time for a completely new battery, if not also time to look at the alternator if the problem goes beyond battery replacement.

One easy way of maintaining your vehicle’s battery is by having your oil changes done on time. By having oil changes done on schedule, not only will the needed maintenance be performed, but also, your battery can be tested and observed by trusted professionals at European Auto

Collision Center. And if your car, truck, van, or jeep happens to be stuck outside of the shop, European Auto Collision Center can assist you with towing and cable jumping as well as full-on battery replacement and warranties! Having your engine not start can be a stressful experience, but we can help you have your vehicle running again in no time. For anymore questions about car batteries and other services, feel free to call us at (951) 637-AUTO today!

1) Who knew? According to The Los Angeles Times, the new Volkswagen Tiguan is not only its bestselling car, it is the company’s bestselling car among women. It outranks the ever-so-famous Beatle in overall sales. With the economy also showing ambivalence at times, the overall demographics of drivers lean towards compact cars and medium-sized sedans.

Natasha G. is a local in Riverside and is fairly new to the area. During Spring Break, in which she nicely relaxed from intense Chemistry classes at UC Riverside, Natasha found out that one of her friends was in the hospital. It turns out, the friend also happened to be at Desert Regional Center, which was located in the hotter Palm Springs area.

While Palm Springs is known for being a tourist area, the weekend wasn’t going to be one of leisure, even with the infamous “Coachella Fest” coming up on the calendar. In deep urgency during the darkest part of night, Natasha and her roommate Hannah headed over to the hottest part of Riverside County, sharing the 2010 Hyundai Accent given to Natasha as a going-away college gift. The car, admittedly, wasn’t in the best condition, with leftover Starbucks lattes in the sturdy cup holders and stacks upon stacks of graded papers on the floors. Other than that, the vehicle was fairly new with no serious problems ever occurring. With the drive only being a 2-hour round trip, what could go wrong? The two women made sure the gas tank was full before going on the nearly-empty freeway.

As they expected, they safely arrived at the hospital, with their friend’s prognosis being so optimistic that he was going to be released the next day; relieved, they stayed for a few hours in good spirits before returning to the Hyundai Accent. It was around 3 am when they went back inside the car, quickly stopping by a gas station to get some iced coffee before going back on the 10 freeway. As Hannah slept on the passenger side, Natasha smoothly drove the car, hands both on the steering wheel. She felt peaceful as she saw the bright lights glimmer from the lively casinos, watched as the windmills seemingly blended into the sky shortly before merging on the 60 freeway. She also had no problems driving through the winding roads in the mountains before finding herself back in Moreno Valley.

It was when they were near University Avenue that Natasha began to feel that something was wrong; her car seemed like it was going to break down. It sputtered and jerked to the point where it was scary. She gazed at the windshield, only to realize that she was so busy with her schedule that she forgot to get an oil change. Nervous, she parked the car in front of her apartment, waking up Hannah before they quietly walked upstairs.

The next day, Natasha urgently went to get her car repaired. Being new in town and being in a rush, she went to the first body shop she saw. She found out that she had very little coolant, needed an oil change, needed her spark plugs replaced, and needed a small part of her transmission replaced. Shocked at the cost, she reminded herself that she was the only one who had a car within the apartment she lived in, so she had it repaired the same day.

Months later, Natasha began to find problems with her car again, and was dismayed at the fact that its light blue exterior was already looking faded. She didn’t want to go to the same place she went to again; Hannah finally bought herself a used car from a friend, but seemed so happy with the repairs. She had saved up enough money to have the engine restored, and was pleased at the results. “I had it done at European Auto Collision,” she said.

Natasha observed the car, which was a 1997 Honda Civic. It was in great shape and what was behind the good even looked new. She quickly looked on her phone, entering “European Auto Collision” in the search bar. She immediately found out that the place had nothing less than a 5-star rating on Google reviews, which was extremely rare in her eyes. She also noticed that she didn’t need a major event just to get service, but could also go in for her basic car needs, such as the periodic oil change and coolant. Natasha also found out that Hannah had a lifetime warranty on her engine parts, and that if she wanted her light blue Hyundai repainted, then European Auto Collision would match the original color.
On top of all that, Natasha found out that there was 24-hour towing service within a 10-mile radius of European Auto Collision, meaning that her car could’ve been towed for free in order to get repairs. Not only was convenient, but it was also safe and secure.

Armed with knowledge, Natasha finally brought her car to European Auto Collision. Not only was her car maintained, it was also painted in order to make it look new; a lifetime warranty was given for that service alone. Friendly, honest customer service was what Natasha received, and for sure, she would be going back for any of her car repairs and inquiries!

While technology is constantly evolving, driving is still a skill of the present and future. The constantly expanding roads are a reflection of this; and vehicles must be unquestionably maintained. While the concept of hybrid vehicles isn’t new, they are meant to be of environmental conservation and mileage savings for consumers, which can only mean one thing- they need specialized maintenance.
